Aaron serves at the Village Church of Irvine while working full-time in outside sales. He, his wife Kristin, and their two kids (with another on the way) are preparing to plant a church overseas within the next year and a half. Aaron studied at Biola and Talbot Seminary and has a desire for others to know the Word of God, live it out daily, and proclaim it in a way that transforms both individuals and culture.

ANDREW GUASTAFERRO | Contributing Author
Andrew currently serves as the International Development Director of Safe Harbor International, an Orange County-based missions agency that addresses the physical and spiritual needs of “regions where there is spiritual darkness, despair and poverty.” Andrew, his wife Heidi, and their newborn son Lucas live in Mission Viejo, CA.

CAMERON MORGAN | Contributing Author
Cameron is a visual graphic designer for a well-known corporation in Foothill Ranch. He serves at Sovereign Grace OC (Irvine, CA) on their web and social media team. Cameron is particularly interested in the intersection of theology, technology, and visual communication to spread the Gospel and share Christ with others. He currently reside in Laguna Beach, CA, with his wife and daughter.

DAVID HUGHES | Contributing Author
David loves God, loves learning about God, and is passionate about teaching students how to read God’s word. David enjoys church history, eating pizza, and pretending to be good at sports. Until starting seminary in Fall ’10, David also enjoyed other things like surfing, snowboarding, and seeing the light of day. He currently serves in the youth ministry at Reverence Bible Church.

At the tender age of 21, Joey moved from Orange County to Romania and served the Lord there for 13 years. He has recently returned from the mission field and along with his wife, Mihaela, and their daughter, Katie. He currently serves as the office administrator for Grace Church Laguna Niguel, and works part time for Walgreens, the pharmacy America trusts.

JON KEENE | Contributing Author
As a Senior Project Engineer for a large contractor in South Orange County, Jon oversees and manages several building projects in the region. During college—his wrestling state championship days—Jon’s fascination for antiquity and newfound desire for truth led him to an ardent passion for the Gospel. Today, he is an avid book reader, essay writer, and armchair theologian. Jon and his wife Michelle currently reside in Lake Forest, CA.

JOSH SAENZ | Contributing Author
Josh earned his B.A. in Biblical/Theological Studies from Biola University (La Mirada, CA). In January 2009, Josh married his best friend Kaitlin, who shares his deep passion for reaching the people of Orange County, where they were both raised. Josh is constantly looking for ways to use the preached Word, creativity, and social media as catalysts for gospel-proclamation. He currently serves as the youth pastor at Foothills Evangelical Free Church (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA).

MATT FORD | Contributing Author
Matt serves Jesus as the senior pastor of Fountain of Life Fellowship Church (Fountain Valley, CA). He first served in full-time ministry as the Resident Hall Director at Gordon College (Massachusetts). Shortly thereafter, he co-pastored a local church while earning his Masters of Divinity and Masters of Theology at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Matt has been happily married to his wife Marcia since July 2000, and they currently have three children: Jackson, Emma, and Katy.

Rachel Stewart is a graduate of Vanguard University with a degree in Business Administration. She currently works in the insurance industry, servicing religious non-profit organizations (mostly churches). Rachel attends Fountain of Life Fellowship in Fountain Valley, where she serves as both a deacon and the high school girls’ youth group leader.

Roger has been working as an Electronics Technician at Gulfstream Aerospace in Long Beach since 2002. He also serves at Sovereign Grace OC as a worship leader. Roger loves to study God’s word and Christian theology. He particularly loves to spread a passion for God’s Truth as revealed in His glorious Gospel. He resides in Norwalk, CA with his wife Alice and two children.

CHRIS POBLETE | Executive Director, co-founder
After his two-year stint as award-winning Editor-in-Chief of the Orange Appeal, Chris started a personal blog which eventually evolved into the website you’re viewing now. Today, he manages our events and church-to-church networking activities. Chris also serves as Editor of Social Media at Blue Letter Bible, masquerades as a freelance writer and copy editor for various publications, and serves Jesus through teaching and discipleship at Reverence Bible Church (Mission Viejo, CA). He is engaged to Alyssa Graham.

JON CHENOT | Associate Director, co-founder
Jon is a second-year seminarian at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and an intern in Holy Trinity Church’s ministry training project, the Chicago Plan. He is a gifted preacher-in-the-making who carries a deep love for God’s church and the people of Orange County. He aspires to plant a Christ-exalting and gospel-centered church here in a few years, Lord willing. Jon and his wife Trista live in Oak Park, Illinois.

Mark graduated from Cal State Fullerton as an English major. He currently teaches both Math and Christian Logic for a Christian home school institution in South Orange County. Mark is a solid defender of biblical truth and its consequent joys. He also writes his own music and serves on the worship team at Reverence Bible Church (Mission Viejo, CA).

Matt is a professional photographer who graduated from Brooks Photography Institute (Santa Barbara, CA). He is the owner of Matt Chenot Photography and has an constantly-growing itch to use his gifts to advance the Gospel and serve the Kingdom of God. His editorial responsibilities at The Gospel for OC include: original image editing, photo stock, and video projects.
